A reader once wrote to ask about affordable beach resorts in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, Philippines. “Affordable” is relative but here is another resort located in the area, which readers may wish to consider.

The Bahura Resort and Spa is located within a 5-hectare beachside coconut plantation in Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines. It offers hotel rooms and villas, with the nightly rate ranging from USD 174 to USD 275 a night, inclusive of breakfast and airport/pier transfers. It offers discounted rates, though, to Philippine local residents.

DJ Paradise Resort & Hotel is located in Malolos City, Bulacan, Philippines. Its biggest attraction would be its 9 swimming pools, which include a wave pool, a mega pool with slides, and a kiddie play pool. Not all the pools are open every day though.
